BASIL!!!!

In all our time attending both Edinburgh and Adelaide fringes, we have never enjoyed a show as much as we did last night.
The "Faulty Towers Dining Experience" was hilarious, starting from the minute Basil and Sybil appeared behind reception in the foyer of the hotel, to the time that the sweet was served in the dining room.
We had tried to get into the same show in Edinburgh twice, to be told it was fully booked, so we were surprised to be able to book into the same show here when we went online last week. In the event the room was almost full, and those seats that were empty we think were no-shows.



Basil was almost perfect, all the action that we had seen in the TV shows, including his treatment of Manuel. Here they are shown with his "hamster" in a box, which of course escaped and ran round the room with both Basil and Manuel chasing it.

Manuel wept over Anne when he was told he had to kill the "Rat", of course he didn't, and when Sybil found out there was more fun and games.

What a great night, the artists played their parts beautifully, we really must book again for Edinburgh if we can, and take the family!
